The Rewrite - Clyde Lawrence & Cody Fitzgerald

3/22/15

Picture
Wait, I'm supposed to revise what I write???
What You Will Hear:  What won't you hear?  Small combo jazz, blues/rock/funk, and acoustic pop/rock.  Rock organ.  Hand clapping and snapping.  Wa-wa pedal!  Some nice jazz and pop songs.

Standout Tracks:  Binghamton Bound, Don't Wait Too Long, Folded Out, Reading Scripts, Meetings, Perks, Mid-term, So Damn Fast, Paradise Misplaced: Final, Paradise Misplaced

Will you be humming along?  There is a playful piano theme (I think on all the Paradise Misplaced tracks).  The score is too eclectic (in a good way) for one theme or style to stick out.  But, there is a lot of great stuff to dance along to while doing the dishes.

The piece this makes me want to dust off:  I cannot stop picturing the Peanuts gang.  (There's even a Guaraldi track.)

Will I come back to it?  Yes, when I need something light and not requiring my full attention.  I want to listen to this while walking around a crowded urban center.  It's got something or every mood and would be fantastic for people watching.  I always enjoy that Peyroux song (saw her do it live a few years back - awesome!).  Stolen Jars is also just pure feel god fun.
