The D-Train - Andrew Dost

Picture
My nickname would be J Dog.
What You Will Hear:  The album is 50% pop songs.  Once the score starts, there is a quirky 80's vibe with heavy synth effects.  You'll also hear lots of pizzicato and mallets.

Standout Tracks:
See if I Can Flip You To A Yes, Yearbook, Coming Home, Classic Lawless, The D Train

Will you be humming along?
Yes, some catchy pop sounding hooks.

The score this makes me want to dust off:
 Tron: Legacy - Daft Punk

Will I come back to it?
Yes.  At some point, everyone asks themselves the same question:  What would Tron: The Comedy sound like?  Wonder no more.  This
score is this answer.  It is wistful, funny, and hip from start to finish.  The overall playtime is way to short (same with each individual track), but the retro soundscape created by Andrew Dost is rather endearing.  Rumor has it if you close your eyes and concentrate while listening, you might just see Ally Sheedy and Molly Ringwald dance into your room.  I hope to hear much more from Dost in the future.
The D Train was provided courtesy of Krakower Poling PR and Lakeshore Records.  Thank you!
