Pretty.
Cinderella is provided courtesy of Krakower Poling PR and Walt Disney Records.  Thank You!
What You Will Hear:  Full orchestra, classical era styles, waltzes, and wondrous choir.   An end credits pop tune, and two nice in film vocal pieces.

Standout Tracks:
Orphaned, The Stag, Pumpkins And Mice, Valse Royale, Secret Garden, La Polka De Minuit, Pumpkin Pursuit

Will you be humming along?  You'll enjoy a very pretty 7 note theme.  (Check out The Stag.)

The piece this makes me want to dust off:  Piano Concerto No. 2 - Dmitri Shostakovich

Will I come back to it?

This could probably be scored to the original animated classics of the 30's-50s, and I'm not sure it will be accepted by most modern ears.  It really sounds like Disney has stayed very true to the source material with this film.  Instead of a reimagining (Snow White or Alice), this music makes me expect a frame-to-frame retelling of the animated version.  I'm torn...  I could call this score too "fluffy" for my tastes and leave it at that.  But, in our cynical world of dark reboots, I'm also intrigued by a modern score that is unabashedly at peace with being a fairy tale.  It is that final reasoning that will bring me back to Doyle's score.  I simply love that it exists in 2015.
