Age of Adaline - Rob Simonsen |
4/15/15 |
|
What You Will Hear: Light strings, children's choir, bells, and celeste.
Standout Tracks: January 1st, 1908, First Resurrection, Never Speak A Word Of Her Fate, Another Death In The Life, Constellations, William Recognizes Adeline, Twisted Around The Truth Will You Be Humming Along? No, the main theme never sounds complete. A note from Simonsen, "I wrote it away from picture and there was never a scene long enough to play it. However by repeating the opening phrases of the love theme, it has a quality of getting stuck in 'starting out' mode, which is fitting for Adeline, who is stuck in time...." The score this makes me want to dust off: Anything with Elfman writing for choir. Will I come back to it? Yes. This is simple music for a love story, but it has an appropriately magical element. Put this on while staring at a sunset (or just stare at a wall). Whichever option you choose, you're experience will be wonderfully enhanced. |
